Senator Mark Dearey - Green Party

Mark Dearey is a Green Party member of Seanad Eireann. He is a former member of Dundalk Town Council and Louth County Council.

Mark also runs a successful music venue in Dundalk known as the Spirit Store. On his business he says,

"We run an open house and welcome people from all nationalities into our venue. Music is a powerful way in which people can connect and find common cause. As in business so in politics. I was proud to run alongside my party colleague, George Enyoazu in the 2009 local elections.

He came so close to making electoral history and I know he will some day. Racism is ugly when you witness it and it is my duty as a political figure to speak out against it at every opportunity."
